Its a useful tool for checking my work and gaining an efficient understanding in mathematics (particularly calculus). In Collins' new book he relies on the method you've seen in previous books like Built to Last and Good to Great. I walked away from it no more enlightened or inspired than I was before. At best there might be a quick mention if the written text glossing over the information.

I usually like to think I can find something redeeming in any (technical) book but not in this one. My son, who is ready for first grade, now could understand and tackle the types of word problem that my daughter found difficult in her second grade (at the time that my daughter was in second grade, I did not discover these new math books yet). The power in the book comes from looking for and finding forgiveness and the true meaning of life.
