Each devotion has a scripture reference, a quilt pattern with a color picture included, and a prayer starter. It reminded me of the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (think I had to read that one in a College philosophy class once).
So what do you get when you put all these pieces together? A really good, complex book. I have read many biographies of Cromwell, who has fascinated me since childhood, but this is the best. The story is interesting, as well. Having projects that you can do with your child by just going to the kitchen and using tools and food you already own is such a fabulous idea.
