And figuring it out was hard. Looking back on this exposition as my introduction to (feminist) poststructuralism, and having now struggled through numerous other variously impenetrable or elucidatory texts on the topic area, from Hekman through Butler, Fine, Fausto-Sterling and Foucault, for example, I'd like to say that Ms Weedon's text is a delightfully easy read. Facing weeks of basic house arrest with Jack is going to push Rowan's independence and self-control to the limits. Things are quite well balanced, with all the different factors taken into account to determine which creature will be the "winner" in each match. You can then display your note of the day / week.. There's 32 pages of b&w and color photographs , a Discography, and an Index. I might recommend Ray Miller's 'Volkswagen Bug: The People's Car,' or Terry Shuler's 'Volkswagen, Then, Now, and Forever.'
