Given the rather complicated nature of the topics covered in this book, it is a remarkably easy and informative read, and even at times humorous, which I really appreciated. An every year tradition for a Christmas Present. And it starts with a boom, too.
The mysterious phenomenon of breaking glass and china, including the Captain's whisky glass, is only fully explained on page 51, and the later pages expose many other plot details which contributed to the overall controlled confusion in the beginning and middle of the book. Interesting book, but it just points to the basic problem of avoiding animal fat. These poses look easy until you actually try to do them.
I've started using some of the "Gentle Flows" listed at the end of the book, and I find that I gain strength and flexibility every day. And his performances speak well even 50 years later.
